Meet Dilshan Abeygunawardana: Entrepreneur, Creator, and Innovator

Dilshan Abeygunawardana is a Sri Lankan entrepreneur, creator, and innovator, and the person behind an extraordinary entrepreneurial journey. His path has moved through content creation, art, gaming, freelancing, and technology, and it continues to move forward today.

A Digital Presence Built for Impact

Across YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook, Dilshan has built a combined following of more than 650,000 people. That reach has given him a powerful digital presence, but the numbers are only part of the story. He uses his content to educate, to inspire, and to create a positive impact on the lives of thousands of people who follow his work.

Hosting One of Sri Lanka’s Top-Rated Podcasts

Dilshan is also the host of one of Sri Lanka’s top-rated podcasts. The show has been recognised by USAID as one of the country’s influential podcasts, and on Spotify it ranks among the top 10% most-followed podcasts globally, placing a Sri Lankan production alongside podcasts from around the world.

A Journey Far Beyond Content Creation

Dilshan’s journey, however, goes far beyond content creation. He has developed games for both PC and Android and created award-winning art, work that has gone on to earn him international recognition. Across each of these pursuits, he has consistently explored the same intersection: the meeting point of creativity, technology, and entrepreneurship.

Making an Impact on Sri Lanka’s Freelancing Ecosystem

He later made a significant impact on Sri Lanka’s freelancing ecosystem by introducing NFT generation through myHubLK. That contribution helped spark a wave of freelancers who went on to generate millions of dollars in international income for themselves and for the country. His own expertise in the NFT space earned him recognition as one of the highest-ranked and highest-earning NFT freelancers globally on Fiverr.

A New Challenge: Olee AI

Today, Dilshan is taking on a new challenge as Co-Founder and Director of Olee AI, a company focused on building intelligent, AI-powered solutions for productivity, growth, and innovation.

When Curiosity Meets Courage

From content creation and freelancing to technology, AI, entrepreneurship, and beyond, Dilshan Abeygunawardana’s journey is a great example of what happens when curiosity meets the courage to keep experimenting. Each stage has built on the one before it, and each has been driven by a willingness to try something new.

  • Sri Lanka has launched this year’s petroleum exploration licensing round for the Mannar Basin, with the official launch taking place on August 25 at the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation headquarters. Organised by the Petroleum Development Authority of Sri Lanka, the event was held under the patronage of Energy Minister Anura Karunathilaka and Labour Minister and Deputy Minister of Finance and Planning Dr. Anil Jayantha. Under the latest licensing round, four exploration blocks covering approximately 34,000 square kilometres in the Mannar Basin will be offered to international energy companies for further exploration. The Ministry said previous exploration activities in the basin had confirmed the presence of petroleum and natural gas, including discoveries of natural gas and liquid hydrocarbons. Petroleum Development Authority Director General Neil de Silva said the basin’s largely unexplored areas present significant opportunities for international investors to undertake further exploration using modern geological surveying methods and advanced technologies. He added that prospective companies would also have access to geological information on the Mannar Basin held by the Authority. According to de Silva, existing geological data suggests that the Mannar Basin could hold around 2 billion barrels of petroleum and 9 trillion cubic feet of natural gas, with the potential for these resources to be commercially recovered through drilling.
